Submit online requests with sedex (to GEVER)

AFORMSOLUTION provides our Swiss customers with a sedex connection. This allows entries in online forms to be transferred directly to GEVER or specialist applications.

AFORMSOLUTION (AFS) is now providing our Swiss customers with a sedex connection. This allows entries in online forms to be transferred directly to GEVER or specialist applications.

The configuration is carried out via a sedex extender. This allows simple configuration without programming knowledge.

The new AFS -> sedex connection is already being used by several customers in the federal sector, such as the Swiss Federal Electricity Commission ElCom. We were also able to present more about the ElCom project at this year's Swiss eGovernment Conference as part of the presentation "Capturing complex reporting data in a customer-friendly way and transferring it to GEVER". About sedex

sedex stands for secure data exchange and is a service of the Federal Statistical Office FSO.

The platform is designed for secure asynchronous data exchange between organizational units. In specific cases, synchronous data exchange is also possible. The platform is highly available (24/7).

sedex was set up as part of the modernization of the census from 2010 in order to ensure the delivery of statistics from the communal residents' services and the federal register of persons to the FSO. As sensitive data is exchanged, the platform had to meet high security and traceability requirements from the outset. To this end, sedex uses modern encryption methods and security certificates from the Swiss Government PKI.

Since going live in mid-2008, sedex has also opened up to participants outside of register harmonization and statistics. Today, sedex is used by over 9,600 organizational units in over 80 domains. In 2020, around 22.5 million messages were transmitted via sedex.

sedex acts as a letter carrier and is comparable to a registered letter.
